Welcome to my homepage.
I am Associate Professor of Computer Science at the "Dipartimento di Informatica ed Applicazioni" of the University of Salerno. My main reasearch interests are in the field of Distributed Computing and in the field of Algorithms and Data Structures. I got my PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000.
I am also interested in Music and recently I have started the Laboratory of Computer Music at the Dipartimento di Informatica ed Applicazioni, University of Salerno, where I plan to study topics across computer science and music. I hold a diploma in pianoforte from the Music Conservatory of Salerno, Italy.
From March 2 through March 6, 2009, I have taught a Distributed Algorithm class at the Bertinoro International Spring School. If you attended the school you will find useful information in the course webpage: BISS2009 - Distributed Algorithms.
