Logic vs Word

καὶ ὁ Λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν Θεόν,

I found it interesting that the original greek version had the word
logos
and sometimes I wonder whether it should have been translated
as follows:
In the beginning was the Logic, and the Logic was with God, and the Logic was God.
or into Italian
Nel principio era la Logica e la Logica era presso Dio, e la Logica era Dio.
