Right from the time of the Romans, who built the empire’s most beautiful mansions on its coast, Sorrento was famous for its pleasant climate and the magnificent view of the Mount Vesuvius.
Its enchanting position and mild climate, the picturesque harbour bay and the small beach which can be reached only by steps and narrow alleys, the surrounding hills covered in olive groves and citrus fruit trees have enchanted tourists from all over the world as from the eighteenth century.

Upon arrival, we go up by cable car to the small main square of Capri (Piazzetta), a lovely terrace over the harbour of Marina Grande. Walk through the centre to the opposite side of the island to see the Gardens of Augustus with an incredible view over Marina Piccola and the spectacular Faraglioni. Free time for shopping, and return to Sorrento.
