Post-Doctoral fellow (Assegnista di Ricerca) at the Dipartimento di Informatica ed Applicazioni of the University of Salerno, cooperating in the research activity of the ISISLab laboratory.

My current research interest is about Computer Supported Collaborative Work and Learning. In particular, we are studying the possiblity of integration of collaborative tools (CoFFEE) into development environments (Eclipse, Rational Team Concert  and Jazz), as well as into systems to support decision making and requirements elicitation meetings. The project to integrate CoFFEE tools with  Jazz  has won the IBM Jazz Innovation Award 2008 and the current progress has been presented at the IBM Rational Software Conference Italiana 2009.

I gained PhD Degree in Computer Science on April 2009, defending a thesis with title  "Face to Face Computer Mediated Communication" (advisor prof. Vittorio Scarano). In my dissertation I presented my studies about Computer Supported Collaborative Work and Learning, paying particular attention to learning scenarios in face-to-face setting. In the thesis  I present then my contribution in designing and developing a groupware, aiming to support colocated learning, named Collaborative Face-to-Face Educational Environment (CoFFEE). The development of CoFFEE has been conducted within the european project LEAD, aiming to develop a collaborative system to support face to face problem solving.

I gained my Master Degree in Computer Science cum Laude on July 2005, defending a thesis with title "Un plug-in peer to peer per Eclipse" (in italian, advisor prof. Vittorio Scarano). My dissertation was about the possibility to integrate in Eclipse a plug-in using the CVS client of Eclipse to start a peer-to-peer communication among remote users.
